Talar from Mediterranean Cuisine created a wonderful Middle Eastern feast for my 60th birthday party. I travel a lot in the Middle East, and I know that her food was both authentic and delicious. A simple hommos is a basic test – some are good, some are less so, but hers was one of the best I have tasted. The za’atar had everyone back for more, and asking where they could buy it. The lamb mansaf had a delicate blend of spices in the rice that worked brilliantly with the succulent slow-cooked lamb. The unusual layered Armenian salad disappeared very rapidly, and the sweet were sublime. I could go on about every dish, but you’ll get the idea. Talar helped with menu suggestions to create an excellent balance of flavours and textures, and nothing was too much trouble to make it perfect. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
